I'm sure its in the regulations that you can't, but could someone develop a "wet weather" hood, which essentially acted aerodynamically in such a way that would benefit the car? e.g. It just so happened to be deflected round into the intake...

Are helmet shapes and size regulated? How about a very large helmet that's designed to just cover the opening. Hahahaha :-)x

God damn it. I can remember seeing a photo from back when f1 literally just discovered the whole idea of downforce and it was someone with literally a decent size spoiler on poles extruding from there helmet... Probably not a great thing to have though now that they go that fast with that acceleration, i imagine the drag may rip your head off if not lucky... But there are mini ones on the back of some e.g.
